Betsy Hudson Traba and Fernando Traba, principal flute and principal bassoon of the Sarasota Orchestra, journey through the “Gallic style” — the elegant Baroque curves of Boismortier, the mythical landscapes of Mouquet, and the Parisian charm of Grovlez and Bizet — before crossing the Atlantic to celebrate the historic friendship between the two nations. With pianist Jessé Martins. Doors open at 11:30 a.m.; lunch is served at noon.

About our event series

Social & Singers

Member meetings with a program, live music, and refreshments — 10:30 a.m., generally the third Tuesday of the month, fall through spring. Always free, and open to everyone.

Prologues

Skilled lecturers discuss and provide insights into each of the 2026–2027 Sarasota Opera productions: Hansel and Gretel, La Traviata, H.M.S. Pinafore, Ariadne auf Naxos, and Jenůfa.

Special Events

Our signature gatherings, from the Poinsettia Luncheon at Michael’s On East to the end‑of‑season picnic — where fellowship and fundraising meet.

Registration & fees

Events with tickets can be paid securely online, or by check using our printable forms. Online prices include a small card‑processing fee; paying by check avoids it. Reservations close seven days before ticketed events.
